DESCRIPTION
The Model B wireline setting tool is used to set downhole tools in a wellbore. It utilizes the gas produced by the burning of a power charge to create the force and motion required for the downhole deployment.
The Model B setting tool is pressure balanced, and retains the pressure inside the tool until bled off manually using a piercing disk system. For safety reasons, the Model B setting tool design incorporates a secondary pressure bleed off feature.
An oil dampener system is built into the tool to control the setting speed and dampen the disconnect impact.
The tool is compatible with the Baker style firing heads and accepts all standard and slow set Baker style igniters and power charges.
FEATURES
- Secondary vent holes for emergency bleed off and safe operation
- Longer wireline adapter kit setting sleeve thread relief groove accepts larger set screws
- Machined fluted slots for increased tool lifespan and easy gripping during assembly and disassembly
- Increased piston rod – lower piston contact area for increased tool lifespan.
